Two new PostBus routes in Ligerz, Twann and Plateau de Diesse
Due to the new service planning for regional transport from 2025, the railway station in Ligerz will be closed by the SBB ahead of schedule. As of the timetable change on 15 December 2024, two new PostBus routes will start operating in Ligerz, Twann and Plateau de Diesse, and will continue to ensure public transport connections in the area along the northern shore of Lake Bienne.

Route 21.134 Twann–Ligerz (–La Neuveville)
The new PostBus route 134 between Twann and Ligerz will provide public transport for the municipality of Ligerz instead of rail. It is part of the service concept for the area around the northern shore of Lake Bienne and will be continued after the opening of the Ligerz tunnel in 2029.
Postbuses will run every day at the same operating times and at the same frequency as the Biel/Neuchâtel regional trains. In Twann, the new PostBus route 134 provides connections to and from Biel/Bienne and Neuchâtel, and in Ligerz, there is a connection to the vinifuni funicular railway, which runs to Prêles.
Route 134: new supersaver tickets from Ligerz in the direction of Neuchâtel
Due to the switch from rail to bus, ticket prices for connections from Ligerz to Neuchâtel have increased.
SBB and PostBus are now offering supersaver tickets with an attractive discount for connections from Ligerz to the Neuchâtel region. The supersaver tickets can be purchased conveniently up to one hour before departure in the online timetable or via the SBB app. Each supersaver ticket is marked with a % sign in the online timetable.
Route 21.135 Twann–Lamboing–Prêles
The new PostBus route 135 replaces the no longer optimal connections with route 132 from the plateau de Diesse via Prêles, vinifuni and Ligerz to Biel/Bienne. The service represents a temporary solution until the Ligerz tunnel opens in 2029. The bus timetable is aligned with the connections of the regional trains towards Biel/Bienne and Neuchâtel in Twann.
As the route of the service goes through the narrow, curvy Twannbach Gorge, all road users need to take extra care when driving through the gorge. In some places, it is not possible to cross with other vehicles.
When the timetable changes, additional measures will be implemented to increase traffic safety in the Twannbach Gorge.
