Most PostBus stops have a QR code on the timetable. Scan the QR code with your smartphone and you’ll see departure times in real time − including any potential delays and disruptions. This allows you to check at any time when the next Postbus is due to arrive. For most smartphones, you can simply use the normal camera to scan the QR code. This service is currently restricted in certain cantons (LU, OW, NW, UR, ZG).

Please take note of passenger information on Postbuses in the event of connection disruptions or other irregularities.

To ensure a punctual departure and to keep to the timetable, please always board the vehicle quickly, keep clear of the area around the doors and move up the vehicle to make room for other passengers.

To help ensure a safe journey, please sit down if seats are available. If not, we ask you to hold on tight to the fixtures provided. Please only stand up or let go of the handle once the vehicle has stopped.

If you are travelling with luggage (trolley cases, bags, shopping carts, buggies, bicycles, kickboards, skis, etc.), please hold this tight and secure it to ensure you have a safe journey. Do not leave any luggage in the aisles.

Thank you for listening to your music and holding conversations in a way that does not disturb other passengers or staff. Your fellow passengers will also appreciate it if you are considerate enough to dispose of your rubbish and not place your feet on other seats so that they are available for the elderly and those with mobility issues.

Please make it clear at the stop (with eye contact or a wave) that you want to board. This is particularly important if it’s dark or if visibility is low. Press the button in the vehicle when you wish to disembark.

Walking aids, wheelchairs and buggies always take priority over bicycles and scooters. There is no guarantee that two-wheelers can be taken aboard Postbuses. During the summer season, Postbuses tow handy bicycle racks on the rear of the vehicle on various routes.

WiFi in Postbuses

WiFi in Postbuses is free to use and requires only a one-off registration, which can be done directly on WiFi-equipped Postbuses.

Find out how easy it is:

Connect to the “PostAuto/CarPostal/AutoPostale” WiFi in the Postbus.
The registration page is then displayed in the browser. Here you must register your device (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, etc.). Complete the required fields.
When first using the WiFi, an authorization code will be sent to you via SMS. Once you have entered this code on the registration page, your device will be authorized to use the WiFi. Please be aware that you must register each individual device on which you want to use WiFi.
After the initial registration, your device will be automatically recognized on all equipped Postbuses once you connect to the WiFi.

NOTE:Despite the initial registration, you must still log in to the WiFi before each use. This is very simple: once you have connected your device to the WiFi, the WiFi landing page will open in your browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) Once there, press on “Surf now”. It’s as simple as that. An authorization code is no longer required.

The WiFi-equipped Postbuses can be identified by the WiFi symbol.
