PubliCar Vaud is an on-demand bus system that you can book for your weekend excursions − with ease via the PubliCar App. Enter the collection and destination addresses as well as the time you want. Then all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your journey!

Service areas
PubliCar Vaud serves two distinct zones: a “Night” zone and a “Day” zone.
“Night” zone with stop-to-stop service and service areas
The “Night” zone allows you to travel within the area marked in green. Railway journeys are not included (Lausanne–Echallens–Bercher Railway; Swiss Federal Railways; TRAVYS) The app* suggests possible routes and times that match your search, as long as the search is within the area and time slots covered. The route may not exceed 20 km.

“Day” zone with stop-to-stop service
Only zone 4 “Thierrens” is served by PubliCar during the day on weekends.
Service hours
The “Night” zone is served on Fri/Sat and Sat/Sun from 10.30 p.m. to 2.30 a.m.
The “Day” zone is served during the following hours:

PostBus route 10.683 Orbe−Croy-Romainmôtier−Vaulion−Le Pont−Mont d’Orzeires serves Orbe and the surrounding region on weekends. More information: postbus.ch/timetable

Reservations
Telephone reservations
Book by calling +41 800 60 30 60 (free of charge), 7 days a week, between 6 a.m. and midnight.
Reservations can be made or cancelled by telephone up to one hour before the journey (during office opening hours). For departures before 6 a.m., reservations can be made by telephone until 60 minutes before the office closes the day before the journey.
Price
Same fare conditions as for scheduled services, but with a flat-rate collection surcharge of CHF 5.00 per person and per journey. No surcharge for children aged 0 to 6 years.
A card containing six collections is available for sale from drivers for CHF 30.00.
Tickets can be purchased at ticket machines, in the SBB online shopTarget not accessible, via the SBB appTarget not accessible or from drivers.
Wheelchair accessibility and groups
You can use the PubliCar App to activate the “Wheelchair” option in the “Number of passengers” booking step. You can also notify us of any such requirements by calling 0800 60 30 60.
The app allows you to book a maximum of nine seats per order.
