Bears and wolves live side by side in semi-liberty at Juraparc on the Col du Mont d’Orzeires mountain pass (Vallorbe municipality).

Leaving from Orbe, poste or Croy-Romainmôtier station, take route 683Target not accessible, which offers six return trips on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, and takes you to Juraparc on the Col du Mont d’Orzeires mountain pass all year round.

A unique wildlife park in Switzerland

Are you looking for an excursion for the family? Are you a nature lover? Then Juraparc is the place for you! On the Mont d’Orzeires’ mountain pastures, bears, wolves and bison live together in semi-liberty and can be observed without disturbing them from the footbridges above the enclosures.

One of the highlights of the wildlife park is feeding time, which takes place every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. It’s a marvellous experience for children (and parents too)!

A visit to the mini farm is also a must. There you can pet goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hens, a donkey and a pony. Not forgetting their neighbours, the alpacas!

Besides all the wonderful and fascinating animals, you are welcome to visit Juraparc’s chalet-restaurant or its large terrace on sunny days, where you’ll find refined cuisine. And for the children, there’s a large play area nearby where they can enjoy themselves.

The park is open 365 days a year, from 9 a.m. until dusk. The restaurant is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. (Friday and Saturday) and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Sunday).

Tanie and Lugo: Juraparc’s new residents

Two new residents, Tanie and Lugo, moved in on 17 April 2024. Tanie is a one-year-old orphaned bear cub from Latvia, while Lugo is a magnificent nine-year-old male bear rescued from a French facility.

Juraparc is offering these two plantigrade animals the happiest possible new life.
