Mythen hiking region
Discover the beautiful Schwyz mountains in the Alpthal/Brunni – the hike on the imposing Grosser Mythen mountain in particular is simply unforgettable. The breathtaking panorama from the summit over the mountains and lakes of Central Switzerland, Lake Lucerne, Einsiedeln and up to Lake Zurich is a special experience. The cable car takes you from Brunni to Holzegg, which shortens hiking time on the Grosser Mythen by about an hour (Brunni SZ, change to the LBH valley station: cable car).
From the Schwyz side, the Rotenflue ski lift shortens the hike by about two hours. If you’d like to take a round trip, you can take the Holzegg ski lift to Holzegg and then hike to Rotenflue. From Rotenflue, the new cable car takes 12 minutes to Rickenbach above Schwyz, where there is a direct bus connection to Schwyz railway station at the valley station.
