Hulftegg Pass between Toggenburg and the Töss Valley
During the summer, Postbuses run from Bütschwil to Steg via Hulftegg on Saturdays and Sundays. As such, there is a connection between Toggenburg and the Töss Valley via Hulftegg every two hours. This is made possible by the extension of Postbus route 766 on weekends between May and October.

The Hulftegg Pass, which lies at 953 metres above sea level, connects Toggenburg with the Töss Valley. Hulftegg is a popular starting point for hikes. Day trips to the Hörnli, Schnebelhorn and Chrüzegg start here. Hulftegg is accessible from Toggenburg all year round and from the Töss Valley on summer weekends.

During the summer, Postbus route 766 is extended from Hulftegg to Steg in the Töss Valley:
- On weekends and public holidays from May to October
- Every two hours on the Mühlrüti–Hulftegg–Steg section
- In Toggenburg and the Töss Valley, there are very good train connections towards Hulftegg:
- In Steg, via the S26 from Winterthur and Rüti ZH
- In Bütschwil, via the S9 from Wil and Wattwil
On this route, you will also enjoy the three-tone horn, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
