Attractions along the route
Zernez is the starting point for this journey and for excursions to the Swiss National Park or Val Müstair. As soon as you depart, you begin the ascent up the lengthy Ofen Pass, as far as the summit of the “Süsom-Givè”. From here, you can enjoy the view of Val Müstair and the magnificent Ortler Massif. Following the beautiful Münstertal villages, you reach the border village of Müstair, with its world-famous Convent of St John.
Shortly after the Italian border, you reach the mediaeval town of Glurns (PostBus stop: Glurns/Glorenza, Tauferer Tor). Discover stately townhouses and picturesque arcades in the well-preserved city wall. From Mals (PostBus stop: Mals, Bahnhof), the Vinschgerbahn railway transports you to Meran in just over an hour, for example to start your wellness holiday.

Zernez–Süsom Give fair weather service
If the weather is good, Postbuses will also run every day from 28 June to 12 October 2025
- from Zernez at 9.09 a.m. and 10.09 a.m.
If the weather forecast is poor, no fair weather services will run. Details can be found in the online timetable three days beforehand.

Regardless of the weather, the normal Postbus will run to Mals a little over 20 minutes later in addition to the fair weather services. And it’s completely weatherproof in all conditions.

The trail leads through the charming Val S-charl and on to the ancient stone pine forest of God Tamangur, one of the highest pine forests in Europe – an exceptional nature experience! The Postbus will take you from Fuldera (route 90.832) to Lü.
During the summer season, Postbuses (route 90.831), which are subject to reservations, will take you from Fuldera to Val Vau. Hike from the PostBus stop Pra da Vau via Alp Mora to BuffaloraTarget not accessible, to Lai da RimsTarget not accessible or continue to Piz Umbrail, where you can return to the Münstertal by taking the Stelvio route (PostBus stop Umbrail, Schweizer Zoll).
