Chur is one of the most important PostBus transfer hubs in Switzerland. The PostBus station, built in 1992 and located at the railway station, was renovated from March this year for greater accessibility. Since October, the station has met the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The know-how of the disability organizations Pro Infirmis Graubünden, Procap Grischun and the Swiss Association for the Blind and People with Visual Disabilities was incorporated into the renovation.
For passengers with reduced mobility, the previous ground-level stops were converted into seven 22 centimetre high platforms. For those with visual impairments, tactile markings were added and display panels modified. Passengers with hearing difficulties will benefit from an audible edition of the timetable: passengers can access the list of upcoming departures and disruption messages with a text-to-speech button.
