New member of Executive Management

Stefan Regli will take over as head of the Mobility Services Group unit, which includes PostBus. Around 3,750 employees work in this unit, managing a fleet of around 25,000 vehicles, 2,300 buses and various garage locations. The Mobility Services Group unit is additionally building a nationwide fast-charging network for electric vehicles. Stefan Regli will also become a member of Swiss Post’s Executive Management.

The 50-year-old is currently responsible for the Domestic Letters & Parcels business unit within Logistics Services at Group level. This business unit is characterized by declining letter volumes and a parcel business that is both volatile and extremely competitive. “Stefan Regli has proven that he can successfully transform complex business areas. He knows how valuable a strong public service is for Switzerland. This knowledge and his experience are enormously valuable for the ongoing development of the Mobility Services unit”, says Christian Levrat, Chairman of the Swiss Post Board of Directors. Stefan Regli began his professional career at Swiss Post and has worked in various units of the Group. He has a long track record in management positions. He also holds various posts, for example as Chairman of the Board of Directors of notime AG and Vice-Chairman of GS1 Switzerland. Stefan Regli lives in the Canton of Solothurn, has four adult children and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.

An experienced leader for complex tasks

For CEO Roberto Cirillo, working with Stefan Regli at Executive Management level has been hugely beneficial: “Stefan Regli has managed to successfully develop the domestic letter and parcel business despite declining volumes and high pressure on margins, making a significant contribution to Swiss Post’s success. At the same time, he successfully merged the previously separate units for the mail and parcel business in his area of responsibility. Besides strategic skills and a great deal of perseverance, it’s an achievement that requires a keen sense of the different needs of all stakeholders involved. Stefan Regli will now be able to contribute this expertise to the Mobility unit and continue to successfully advance Swiss Post’s strategy. I’m delighted to have Stefan as a proven leader for this key role.”

Mobility as a growth market

In his current position at Logistics Services, Stefan Regli is very familiar with the user requirements for Swiss Post’s vehicle fleet and, in turn, for the Mobility Services unit. In his new area of activity, he will also be able to draw upon the network he built up during his time at Swiss Post. He sees many opportunities for Swiss Post’s Mobility Services unit: “Mobility is growing in Switzerland and offers us the opportunity to launch new services on the market. Swiss Post makes a significant contribution to sustainability in Switzerland with innovative mobility solutions. PostBus also anchors the Swiss Post brand throughout Switzerland and evokes positive emotions like no other company. I’m delighted to be able to contribute to the ongoing development of Swiss Post and mobility in Switzerland”, says Regli.

Stefan Regli will take up his role on 1 February 2025.
