Marco Lüthi named new Head of Market & Customers at PostBus

The current Director of Verkehrsbetriebe der Stadt Zürich (VBZ), Marco Lüthi, has been named as the new Head of Market & Customers and a Member of the Executive Board at PostBus. He succeeds Christa Hostettler, who will become Director of the Federal Office of Transport (FOT). Marco Lüthi will take up his role on 1 October 2024.

Marco Lüthi

Marco Lüthi is currently Director of VBZ in Zurich. He previously worked as Director of Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn and Head of Corporate Development at the Rhaetian Railway, enabling him to gain a wide range of experience. As a member of the Board of the trade association LITRA and President of the Education Commission at the Swiss Association of Public Transport (APT), Marco Lüthi also has thorough knowledge of the public transport sector from a national perspective.

Marco Lüthi studied electrical engineering and information technology at ETH Zurich, where he was later awarded a doctorate by the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems. He also gained an Executive MBA in General Management from the University of St. Gallen. Marco Lüthi is 47 years old and is married with one son. He lives near Zurich.
